  • Sharing of resources: Shaw promotes the idea that each of us has resources and chances to share them with others. We may grasp our plethora of assets by looking no further than our wide networks. According to research, networking fills 85% of unfilled positions. Sharing our networks with others can be a powerful tool for deconstructing repressive structures.
  • Showing solidarity. One of the most effective methods to alter oppressive systems is to provide concrete support to people in oppressed communities. This could be monetary or in terms of our time. This is why Shaw opened Salon named Glow 365 from a profit margin is used for the transgender community, allowing them to live a regular existence.

 

Educational Background:

Rahul Shaw has a stellar educational background, having graduated with honor’s in Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the Heramba Chandra College affiliated to Calcutta University and obtained a Master’s degree in Commerce from OPJS University, Rajasthan. In order to broaden his horizons, he pursued his Masters in Business Administration once again from the Arunachal University of Studies. To satiate his hunger for knowledge, he returned to earn a Bachelor of Law degree from the reputed Shri Venkateshwara University, Uttar Pradesh. His experience and expertise in trade and law have enabled him to pursue a career as a social activist and assist people in need. “The achievement of goals does not occur by chance.” Working hard, sticking with it, studying, making sacrifices, and having a genuine interest in what you’re trying to master are all essential ingredients, as are all the time and effort that Rahul Shaw put into defending it. Entering the political sphere was a bold move that would improve people’s lives.

Political Career

The seed for social entrepreneurship was sown in his early childhood days when he saw people helping out their neighbours in times of need. The seed sown, over the course of time, made him to break all the ceilings and pave the way for his political career. His vision to bring change in the minds of the community further fueled his political ambition, and within a short span of time, he rose against all odds and started representing the oppressed community at major rallies held across West Bengal. While juggling his entrepreneurial and political ambitions, he made it a point to work tirelessly for the community, and his efforts drew the attention of localities and local parties on the ground level.

Having been born and raised in the region of Bengal, Rahul Shaw has lived through many of the issues that are still facing Bengali citizens today. Given the controversial state of trade and labour in the nation’s legislation in this day and age, Rahul Shaw knows how important these issues are to the core of the country’s economy and wellbeing.

Initial Political Career of Rahul Shaw (since school days)

Rahul Shaw’s first political exposure was when he ran for active participation in the student union during his initial days of school at the age of 18. Running on the platform that investing in education was an excellent move for the long-term wellbeing of the state, he won the hearts of many. Since the school days, Shaw was connected with several NGOs, through whose help he was able to help more people. NGOs helped him to know the society in an organized way and showed him the way through which he would be able to help everyone. During his initial period, he focused especially on outreach to communities that were in need of time, emphasising the importance of staying in the system and working for the upliftment of the masses that have been oppressed by many. Under his guidance and the leadership skills, there have been a lot of changes in the colleges and outside. He made an effort to reach out to every member of society. Shaw drived a campaign to let join more and more students in the student union. In an interview he said, I feel that getting involved in politics will provide youngsters with opportunity to learn and grow. Furthermore, they can have an impact on their communities and perhaps open up new chances for themselves. Many political issues are intricate. When students dive in, they give themselves the opportunity to investigate a variety of viewpoints, how particular government policies affect the masses, and what it takes to find balance in what may be a divided landscape.Younger generations will become the backbone of the political scene one day. They are giving themselves a chance to become informed, active citizens of society by getting involved early. Furthermore, students have the ability to make a difference. Their opinions matter, regardless of whether they are of voting age. Decisions taken today have an impact on everyone’s future, including their own.

Shaw never looked back with these ideas and a desire to empower people and help those in need. He rose to the pinnacle of his political career and attained his highest level. Later, he joined various more organisations, including the Modern Art and Photographic Society for the Deaf West Bengal (CP) 7-A-Side Football Association, among others. 

With a more progressive career as social activists and a zeal to help people ( also the special kind of people) he joined West Bengal Handicap Rights Commission, West Bengal Progressive Lawyers Association, West Bengal Biddajan Samaj, West Bengal Forum of the Deaf, West Bengal Deaf Cricket Association, West Bengal Deaf Promotion Society and still moving forward looking for the sources as how he will be able to the masses.

Achievements of Rahul Shaw

1. As a National Committee member (a special invitee) at the BJP KisanMorcha
 

It is noteworthy to note that Rahul Shaw was made a special invitee member of the National Executive by the BJP in 2019 in its KisanMorcha. At that time, he was the youngest active member of the BJP KisanMorcha. As a dedicated worker for the BJP and the organization, Rahul Shaw has been engaged in the work of bringing change to Bengal for a long time.

BJP KisanMorcha is a section of the BharatiyaJanata Party whose mission is to bring the government’s work to farmers, acting as a link between the government and farmers. The peasantry, unlike other segments of society, has remained impoverished and exploited for ages, according to Shaw. Even after independence, the governing parties did only as much for the farmers as was necessary for them to attain their political goals. But as soon as NarendraModi became prime minister, he prioritised the nation’s food producers and made significant efforts to ensure their financial stability. The Modi administration has taken unprecedented measures to empower farmers and enhance their income. Whether it is to provide maximum benefits to the farmers by making a historic increase in MSP or to provide assistance to the farmers through FasalBimaYojana, PM Kusum, PM KisanSammanNidhi, Neem Coated Urea, e-NAM, the Soil Health Card, etc., all of these efforts demonstrate the highest regard and compassion of the honourable prime minister for the farmers.

 

 

2. As a General Secretary at Bharatiya Janata Majdoor Trade Union (BJMTU)

Rahul Shaw pledges to spread his belief in the BJMTU’s founding principle—that all members should contribute to the movement for the benefit of India’s economically disadvantaged—and the BJMTU’s accompanying “Nation First” motto. Rahul Shaw believes in the fundamental principle of the BJMTU that all members should contribute to the movement for the cause of the larger section of people in India, or the economically backward section, and he believes in the Nation First motto and promises to preach such views to the larger section of society. Shaw, with the assistance of the BJMTU, has developed a fresh approach to labour concerns in India. He understands that since India is the world’s second most populated nation, its labour difficulties must be considered alongside factors such as employment opportunity development. According to Rahul Shaw, labour education is often linked with labour safety, labour health, and work environment difficulties. And he believes in continuous education and workshops for workers and employees as a fundamental practise. BJMTU has worked tirelessly to establish itself as a key policy influencer for both the state and federal governments. BJMTU has supplied legal and other assistance to many worker unions across India on a variety of issues, and Shaw attempts to contribute with all he has.

1. As social activists

“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.” Rahul Shaw, who believes in this aspect, has become a source of inspiration for everyone who tries to help people living in society. With his help, the transgender community unveiled the largest floor salon, “Glow 365,” in Central Delhi. This salon is the only establishment of its sort in Central Delhi that will offer upscale services to its consumers. Rahul, who believes in respecting the transgender population, will also contribute a portion of his revenues to this group. Rahul said during the official inauguration of “Glow 365”: “It is a small business focused on customer service and trust.” Rahul says that the objective of the gift is not just to foster a feeling of community among individuals but also to make the consumers feel like they are donating to a cause and lending a helping hand to an underserved neighbourhood.

  • No work is insignificant. All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence. Shaw spread compassion by meeting India’s Minister of Food Processing Industries, Pashupati Kumar Paras, to seek his blessings and address the most pressing concerns. They had several profound chats during which Pashupati Paras told Rahul that because of his eagerness to bring about change in the nation, he would always back his efforts to the best of his abilities. He also said that he would guarantee that labourers have access to all of the fundamental necessities for a happy and healthy life. Shaw, who is well educated and well connected to society via industry, seems to comprehend the suffering of ordinary workers.
2. As environmental activists

I’m not an environmentalist. I’m an Earth warrior. All in a day’s work for the multitalented Shaw, who recently met with Union Minister AshwiniChoubey to talk about the rising levels of pollution over the years. Shaw met AshwiniChoubey (the Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Environment, Forestry, and Climate Change) to talk about the problems facing FCI employees and the steps being taken to help and promote the expansion of the labour force. Since Rahul Shaw had shown such commitment to the BharatiyaJanata Party (BJP), the party had promoted him to the position of member. BJP He joined the KisanMorcha in 2019 and was the organization’s youngest member by far.
